When the 1995 zodiac year began
In 1995, the Lunar New Year fell on Tuesday, January 31, 1995. The year of the Wood Pig ran from that day until February 18, 1996.
If you were born between January 1 and January 30, 1995, your animal is the Dog (Wood Dog, the 1994 year). People born from January 31, 1995 onward belong to the Pig.
The Wood Pig
In tradition, Wood is linked with growth, kindness and generosity. Each animal comes around every 12 years, and with the five elements the same combination returns every 60 years. The Pig is traditionally linked with being warm and generous. Read more about the Pig in Chinese tradition.
